digitalsin
I'm new to this editing thing, so maybe I'm missing something really simple. I've tried to modify some of the other bots around (like the jkb and bots.txt file) and wrap those up in a pak file, but usually they don't show up (as selectable in-game). I have one that does show up and works great, so I even tried copying the pak, modifying, and renaming to a new bot, but it still won't show up! My pak file is under the gamedata\base directory, and the contents consist of simply a directory inside the pak called 'botfiles' Within that directory there are two files: bots.txt (same as the other bots.txt files, but with my bot included), and <botname>.jkb The jkb filename is the same as the botname and the directory names referencing that bot. I'm using XP and using the built in zipper to edit the pak files, but there shouldn't be a problem with this should there? Like I said, I've one bot working.... Any ideas? Am I missing something here? Thanks! -digitalsin
digitalsin
The solution to my problem, in case anyone else has it, is that it requires the .bot file in the Scripts directory. D'oh Working on a GUI to make this process a little easier, but I'm not sure how PAKing would work....
hyrit
Heck, I just use winzip to do it and it works fine... I dunno a thing about XP though, sorry.
