Why can I host a game but can not join one?

Why the hell can t I join a MP game?!?!?

I can get the list of "internet and/or LAN servers no problem but as soon as I click the "Join" button, It locks hard?

No,

I am not running any kind of 3rd party "Firewall" software (Zone Alarm, Etc...) and my system is in the "DMZ".

 

My game, both in SP and MP runs like a screaming Banshee w/all settings cranked and @1024X768 Rez. I have load times in the 10~15 second range! I simply can not join a MP game???

HELP!

I have the same problem when I try and join games on a LAN.

and it's not because there aren't enough human player slots.

I can see the server, I can see every computer on the LAN, but everytime i select the server and hit the join button my system locks up and I am forced to power off and reboot
