Mi§Chiff
I've seen how the community has really helped alot of JK2 enthusiasts here, and I want to see if you can help me! I have been trying my absolute hardest to get jk2 running on my banshee. I have tried the wicked gl thing, and I get a cannot load subsytem message from the console. without wicked gl, it runs, but EVERYTHING is rainbow colored, or technicolor (whichever sounds betetr to you) I am really hating this, and have been waiting for this game to come out for years. Please help me before I perform Jedi Suicide..... Thank you in advance

Hercules
A Voodoo Banshee?! Damn that thing is ancient! It's amazing you even got it to run at all on that old thing. Hats off to ya! To be honest, I remember in a thread some while ago, someone else mentioned they got it to work relatively well on a Voodoo Banshee using the WickedGL drivers. You mentioned that you tried the WickedGL drivers and they didn't work. Well, there's gotta be SOME way to get those frickin' WickedGL drivers to work with your Banshee since it has been done before; IMO you're probably one step away from getting the game to work with the WickedGL drivers. Hmmm, what are your system specs? I'll try to help.
Mi§Chiff
Thanks alot man!, I really appreciate it. I have tried many drivers from voodoofiles.com, and I have also replaced the opengl32.dll file in the system32 dir , with the AcXtrnal.dll file in the apppatch dir, renaming it to opengl32.dll, which was recommended by a few poeple. before I did that I was just getting the good old "could not load opengl subsystem error". once it did run, it's like all the textures are there, but have a tranlucent layer of changing rainbow of colors on top of them. my system specs are: K62-450 Voodoo banshee Winxp PCI128 (works fine) thanks again so much
Mi§Chiff
guess what!? I got it running, and on top of it, it turns out on a system like mine I can churn out 45-60 fps with settings topped out, and res at 1024x768!!!! big surprise considering I'm using a lowley banshee on a k6-
