wacko
I can play in single player but no multiplayer. When I try to load multiplayer the console comes up and then an error is created and it closes. It is hanging right after finding the processor. My system is a Tyan S2462. This is a dual AMD machine. I have dual 1600+ AMD MP's. Is there a problem with the MP processors and multiplayer mode? Irridion
I have the same problem. I have a single processor Athelon XP 1900+ on an MSI K7T266 Pro2 motherboard. Single player is fine, multi dies off after detecting CPU.
gunzz
I have the exact same problem also. I have a Athlon XP 1900+ on an MSI K7T266 Pro2 motherboard, SB Live 5.1 sound, Windows 2000 Server. [3dr]Sniper
Take out one CPU and see if things work? Most games arent compatible with 2 CPU's, thus giving you errors and whatnot . . . Make sure your vid card drivers are up-to-date along with OS patches, and updates. Then ask yourself if you have DX 8.1 installed!
Ezra
Crappy games are not compatible with multiprocessor systems. Why the hell does Dungeon Siege work so beautifully on my system, but I can't even get this game to load? -Ezra
Gumby
I have the same problem, one AMD 1600XP CPU and no multiplayer, it just crashes. It looks to me like programmers made an error with 3dnow that shows up in the new Athlon XP processors. I have a friend with virtually the same PC as mine, he has the Athlon T-bird 1.4 Ghz and has no problem. Even though my Athlon is 1.4Ghz, it is the new XP model. My error says it is at offset 44c2e and if I dig further... CPU feature code 0383FBFF, AMD feature code 009FE850. BTW my CPU version is 662.
