Kyle's Arm textures? Where are they?

In First Person View, the game renders only Kyle's arms - which seem to be a completely different model from the Kyle model. That means it uses different textures. Where is it? I've looked around the models directory, but I can't seem to find 'em.

 

Can anyone help me out here?

Actually... I believe the file is...

 

models/players/kyle/kyle_torso_fade.tga

 

It should be in the files with all the rest of the textures...

 

It's a tga file with a transparency mask attached to it. I altered it for my single player dark kyle. It's relly only used for saber fighting. Also, the .skin file to alter is model_fpls2.skin .

 

But if you're going to be editing it, be sure you save the transparency mask as well.

Actually, not really. '-) I was just getting sick and tired of seeing the original Kyle skin in FPV, and then my custom skin in TPV - it's just annoying. Armed with this info, I'll be able to skin the arms for FPV in Single Player.

 

But on the lighter side, I am experimenting with two new Jan skins. These will be my first skins ever created for a Quake engine-based game.

 

Just hope people won't scoff at 'em when I'm done.
