Devilzad Posted April 19, 2002 Posted April 19, 2002 By forwarding udp ports 28000 to 29000 I can host multiplayer games behind my firewall. However, these games do not appear on Gamespy. What ports do I need to forward to have them appear on Gamespy?
Devilzad Posted April 19, 2002 Author Posted April 19, 2002 So it seems only dedicated servers will broadcast to gamespy. By starting a Dedicated: Internet server, it will broadcast to the server at I think 28060, within the ports range I'd already forwarded. People joined in almost right away. The way to play is to start JK again, choose multiplayer join, join the server on the lan (local machine) and then start playing.
