Norg-the-Hutt
MP used to work fine for me. The only thing I have done is install wickedgl so that my SP would work right. Last night they were both working. This evening I try to get an MP game and I refresh my favorites but it does not find any games. I go to general Internet and refresh and nothing. I get a new list and it finds nothing. I try to enter one of my favorites, but it just sits there awaiting connection. I tried Counter Strike and it find games their fine, I can get my email and write to you here so I know it is not a connection issue. Any one know what I need to do? Norg-the-Hutt
I use Windows 98, it worked great, then stopped one day. I had installed wickedgl, but MP worked for awhie after I installed wickedgl. Someone out there must have had the same problem as me. Any help would be great. Norg-the-Hutt
I fixed the problem. Zone Alarm was the culprit. Everytime I started a MP game I had to first disable Zone Alarm. Using another program I turned off Zone Alarm completely and disabled it from loaded when the computer booted up. Somehow doing this, I believe Zone Alarm had labeled JK2 as something not allowed to access the internet. I uninstalled Zone Alarm and JK2 can get the servers to show now and it works again! colmag
I have this problem under XP, but don't have any sort of 3rd party firewall installed. Would the XP firewall interfere?
