rabid ewok
I am running WinXP with a S3 graphics card, and am getting opengl problems. I'm ready to try a few things. First, I read a post about someone having success with the Scitech GLDirect OpenGL emulator. I downloaded it, but it can't install because an error message comes up saying that Windows NT is an unsupported OS, and that it (NT) needs Direct3d support added before it runs. I tried this with versions 1.01 and 2.0 beta. Second, I read something vague in the Lucasarts troubleshooting doc about some people reporting success using the S3 beta drivers. Before I downgrade my OS, or screw with my drivers I'd like to know if anyone has any comments, suggestions or experience trying to get a S3 card to work/GLDirect. Other option, SGI USED to have a software opengl library/driver, but I do NOT beleive this will work as I am sure it was only the Opengl 1.0 spec, and JK2 uses the 1.1 specification. My sugestion, first see if S3, now known as via, has an opengl 1.1 spec driver for yout card, if they do, follow these directions 1. remove and uninstall the current driver for your card reboot Set standard VGA as the card when prompted. Install new drivers
