The rescuing operation in mine on kelvin

I freed prisoners, and right now im in the tunnel, and theres a big drop to the ground through the tunnel. I can make it if I use all my bacta, but is there any other way to get down there?

I think you're at this bit.

 

It's the bit with the vertical tunnel with the fan at the bottom? You can turn that fan on for a gradual descent if you switch it on in that control room above.
