the ti4200 is THE card to buy (once it comes out lol)...its price is very low, and it offers comparable performance to even the 4600...the price increase vs the performance gain in the 4200 to the 44 or 4600 is not enough to justify buying either of the latter two cards, and its not a good idea to spend a lot on video cards because they will soon be outdated..

this is from

Even if prices for GeForce4 MX based cards were to drop even further, a consumer buying an MX 460 is making a poor choice - for the same price you could get the Ti4200, a card that is often twice as fast. (Recommended sales prices according to NVIDIA: GeForce4 MX 460: $179; Ti4200 64MB: $179; Ti4200 128MB: $199.)

the performance and price of the card is amazing...i would wait for it...

Yes, we all know that the 4200 is going to be the best card on the market for the price. But does anyone know when it's coming out. I'm going to buy one as soon as they come out. I had heard that it would be out by the end of April... nope - not yet. I can't find a release date anywhere and I don't want to wait around for who-knows-how-long always hoping it will be in the next couple of weeks.

I checked Visiontek's website and they have a page for the 4200. It looks like it's ready to be released.

Aha... I just looked at pricewatch.com and now they have a 4200 page. It looks like prices range from $180-$230.

I just checked with Best Buy. They are going to have them on shelves next wednesday (in Orlando, FL anyway). The price will be $250. Now I'm not quite sure what to do. I could get one for under $200 through pricewatch but Bust Buy has a great return policy.
