stuck Cairn reactor

I cant get past the last right turn (w/ 2 beams) to turn off the beam control. any hints I don't mind spoilers

I forget the exact difference between them, but there are two paths you can take to get there. One is a lot easier.

 

the easier one can be taken by continuing down the hall that you first took to get to the spot with the dead guy and the 2 med packs. Hope this helps.
