Capt DirtBag
I just today seem to be getting the above message - (ERROR: Invalid Game Folder) when I want to JOIN a Multiplayer Game, and by the way I have the FULL VERSION of the game. I am very puzzled as I have read ALOT of threads in the Technical Forum with the same problem. But no real help. It also seems that people who write this exact same problem get accused of having a cracked version, something doesn't feel right!! Also Teleguy quoted: quote: -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Originally posted by teleguy If the server is set to pure server it requires that server and clients all have the same gamedata and the same install path in order to join . So the only thing you can do is not to check pure server ( in the create server screen / advanced options ) when you start a server . Maybe it will help to install the game into C:\Programfiles\LucasArts\.......... . -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- But the problem teleguy is when I want to JOIN a server not create one, I changed what you suggested but that didn't work, and I understand what you mean!! Also on the odd occasion I was able to join a server, giving me the idea that some people running servers may have a cracked version, puzzling. So does anyone else have this problem? Also most importantly does someone know how to fix this? I posted this here because more people view the General Forum. Thanks in advance.
Tseng
I had that problem last week. Have you editted, removed, or added any files to either of the assets#.pk3 files? The reason I had the problem was because I'd editted the NPC config file *in* there to change NPCs around instead of making a seperate .pk3 to use. Dunno if that's what you did, but that's all I can think of. I'd just load up the game CD and replace the assets files you have in the program folder with the ones you have on the CD itself. If that doesn't work.. Cross your fingers and reinstall.
