Lord -=[FBF]=-
How do you make custom player models? Do I need 3DSMax, or will gmax do it? Is there a Raven tool available? Or can I do them in JK2Radiant, like you could make models in JED for the original JK? If I need 3DSM, does anyone know how much it costs? Also, how are custom animations done? ie, if I can make a model for a quadruped or summat, how do i make the animations for it?
Autero
Raven has said that a custom model that will use their existing animations can be made with 3dsmax/gmax. if you want custom animations you need softimage. 3DS Max is about $3500, Gmax is free, I have no idea on the cost of softimage. Tems
for those of us who arent fans of warez (or was that getting caught with warez?), can PPM's be done in Milkshape? How are the animations attached? please dont tell me i have to animate the bugger myself. is there a way to export the md3, convert it to glm and then attach away? -Tems
ethanbv
bloodriot and sithlord are making their brains break trying to figure it out. check out what bloodriot's already got here: http://www.lucasforums.com/showthread.php?s=&postid=489027#post489027 Man, we need more editing forums. Autero
You should be able to build the model and use milkshape's bones. once you have that done you need to use assimilate with carcass's path put in correctly (I'm not possitive on this but it's the only thing that makes sense for a use for carcass) and attach the humanoid.glm to your mesh's bones. But again I'm not sure that milkshape will work yet, I think they are working on making an update with JK2 support.
