Episode II Soundtrack - Do me a favor?

I have a request for anyone that would be kind enough to oblige.

I have kept myself on a strict Ep II diet that has kept me pretty much spoiler-free. Most of what I know comes from the trailers, and some magazine articles I've read from a while back, and don't want to spoil the surprise before May 16th.

I must balance this however with my love for soundtracks, and specifically John Williams scores, and especially his SW scores. I got burned once before on the Ep I soundtrack. I bought it the day it came out, and loved it, but the track titles gave away half the movie. Seeing a track titled "Qui-Gon's Noble End" and the next one "Funeral Pyre" blew it for me almost a month before the movie was out.

I know I will buy this soundtrack today. And inadvertantly, while looking to see how many tracks there are, I won't be able to avoid seeing something I don't want to see. My wife thinks I'm crazy for buying something I want to listen to, but not know the names of the tracks. :)

My request is for anyone who hasn't gone spoiler-free and gets the soundtrack.....would it be possible for you to post a spoiler-less rename of the track titles? Please respond here or send me a PM if you're willing....you'd have my eternal gratitude! :)

Thanks,

I don't have actual soundtrack, but I have seen track listing and I don't think they give as much away as TPM soundtrack did. You probably know some of these scenes from where these tracks has been taken, because they were mostly shown in the trailers. As a sidenote, I have heard few of them and can't simply get enough of Across The Stars, because it's THAT good. :D

Thanks guys,

I picked up my copy after work today, and you're most definitely right. If you've seen the trailers, none of the titles can really come across as spoilers.

It is AWESOME. I almost look forward to the soundtracks as much as the movie itself.....

Trust me, the soundtrack is great. If you like other SW soundtracks, you will like this one. You can go to starwars.com and run the streaming "music video" that was released yesterday. It pretty much contains a medley of the major themes used, including 'across the stars', the coup de grace.

i dont have any mp3s any more because of their inherent poor compression algorithms, which manifest themselves as a lot of bass distortion, poor sounds of all sorts of other thing, and an all around inferior sound

Ogg Vorbis (*.ogg) files are much better. Spread the word!

BTW, the tracks on E1 were more memorable than the songs on this soundtrack, but ive only listened to it about 10 times...i might be missing something...

but still, this soundtrack is great..

i thought the Ep1 soundtrack was awful

i usually love john williams' stuff but apart from Duel of fates the soundtrack just seemed a bit quiet with no songs standing out! i oculd have it on while i was in my bedroom and totally forget that any music was being played....im going to wait until the film comes out to see whether the soundtrack is worth buying

i think ill stick to my excellent howard shores' Lord of the rings soundtrack!

do u, the people who read the AotC book, think it was worth while reading the book before the film? did it exceed ur expectations? was it too much of a book of a film?

thanks!

For a reference, the Episode I book followed almost exactly with that of the plot of the movie. From what I have seen in reviews and in the trailers, this book does at well. It is basically being allowed to see the movie 3 or so weeks before it comes out. It only took me a few hours to read the book (353 pages if I remember correctly), and it was well worth the time spent.
