How is the GeForce 2?

Currently I'm running a Voodoo 3 card, and having MAJOR difficulties with this game. I was looking to get a new card, but didn't want to spend the kind of money for a new GeForce 4. I have seen some GeForce 2 Ti and MX cards for sale fairly cheap, and was wondering if anyone had an opinion on these cards. Does JK2 run well on them? Are either the GeForce 2 Ti or MX good cards?

Any input would be appreciated.

Thanks

Go for the gf2 ti not the mx. I have an mx and it runs the game pretty good but i can't run it in any res higher than 800x600 without it slowing down too much. The ti card has much better memory bandwidth so not only will it run the game better you can play at higher resolutions with no framerate loss.

Dont get GeForce 2. Yes, the Ti is a good card. And trust me, the MX is not worth the money, in fact i had a geforce4 mx 440, and my radeon 7200 outperformed it (it really shouldnt have but ive built other rigs that had the same result) Say the GeForce2 Ti is $150 in the stores, you can get a Radeon 7500 64mbddr for the same price, and it will out perform the gf2 by a long shot. At BestBuy and other electronic stores near me there selling GeForce3 Ti 200, for $120, thats a great deal also. I think you should go for the Radeon7500, or the GeForce3ti 200 (if you can find it) Both give great bang for the buck.

That's what I have and I have been rather pleased with it's performance in regards to JKII. A couple of scenes had some noticeable slowdown, but then again, I tend to set my games at highest settings across the board. I probably could scale back, but I can handle the inconvenience of a couple of small spots for the rest of the game which looks fantastic. :)

D (lookin' good) :D
