JK II with Martrox G450?

I was wondering if anyone is running this game using a Matrox G450(with 32mb ddr ram)? It is listed as a compatible card, but Im a little leary since it is a business card primarily. I dont play many games, just use my computer for Autocad and the such, but this game really looks cool.

Do you think i will be able to run it all right? ie. at least 30fps in 800x600 preferably in 1024x768.

The rest of my computer is more than capable. (1.3Ghz athlon, 512Mb ddr ram), but my graphics card has me worried since i never have run any kind of 3d heavy game and dont really know anything about them.

So is anyone running the game with this card? Sorry if this has been asked before, but the search function is disabled

Thanks for any help.

I don't use that card so I'm just guessing here. Coupled with your cpu and memory I'd say you should probably be able to run it at 800x600. Maybe 1024 depending on the level of detail you choose. It's a great 2D card but from what I remember it was pretty weak in gaming. I have no idea how good the OpenGL support is on the Matrox card.

Yes I am, and if you have WinXP you have to disable the opengl extensions even for it to run. Matrox is working on a new driver to fix the issues. Apparently dozens of OpenGL games are crashing and locking up in XP with the 5.82 drivers. So they are trying hard to get it fixed

I use the G450 and it works fine ast 800x600.

However...

I can't get past the hideout level because of a stupid error that I can't get an answer on.

I have emailed lucasarts and posted it here. No response. Unfortunately, I will have to return the damn game since I can no longer play it.

Im using the old G400 and i can get 50 fps in 1024x768, medium texture detail and high geometric detail (god knows how  ) so i think you'll be ok, also im running GL extensions, which a few people have said are supposed to be dodgy with matrox cards but ive found if i turn them off then my framerate is halved :(
