DarthTenor Posted April 25, 2002 Share Posted April 25, 2002 I just love using them. later in the game they are almost useless for their cost. Their upgardes alone cost so much. And all the civs have easy counters to them. (Bounty hunters/massed troopers) I think all they are good for is for early rushes. Maybe have the jedi masters cost go down a bit. I would just hate paying the 350 nova or watever they cost to have them easily countered. And possibly lower their upgrade costs. Some of these upgrades are way too expensive. Anyway there doesn't seem to be much action around the forums for such a good game. I know it is similar to AOK's but it has to be the best Star Wars RTS we have. If you watch the movie, a jedi knight/ master is easily taking out 10 droids by herself or himself. These units ought to have the ability to deflet blaster shots (maybe represented by an increase in attack or defense against troop center units), should be faster, and should be tougher to hurt. I just see jedi as being the ultimate small unit, one that can turn the tide of a battle by driving deep into enemy lines and providing an opening for your other units to do some real damage. It is just that the upgrades for their special abilities are quite steep. Maybe just bring the cost down a bit for the upgrades. I think that would have them as a interesting unit used in tech 4. As I see it now they are not even present in the last age/Tech. wouldn't you think that having a group of upgraded jedi help out the naboo a bit in tech for. Just the idea of having the jedi be around with "jedi mind trick" or Faster conversion might help the naboo out in tech 4. MAybe make the naboo have cheaper jedi or as a team bonus or something.
