NathanJ Posted April 25, 2002 Share Posted April 25, 2002 Hi all, Don't know if this has been mentioned much yet, but to anyone who has the problems with an error message when clicking "Multiplayer Game" on the JK2 menu, or when running mp-start.exe: ---------------------- 14685 files in pk3 files execing mpdefault.cfg couldn't exec jk2mpconfig.cfg couldn't exec autoexec.cfg Hunk_Clear: reset the Hunk ok ...detecting CPU, found AMD w/ 3DNow! We have a solution! As the people in this thread discovered, having a high clock speed causes the problems. It does not matter whether you have overclocked or whether your XP2000+ or P4 2.0 is on default clock speed. My brother has the same problem on his XP machine - the only way to get it to run is to clock your machine back to around 1200-1400MHz (my brother is running @ 1250 from ~1600).
