Mega n00b question, please help

How do I run custom single player maps? When I enter JK2SP there's no way to bring up the console, any thoughts?

Ok, assuming you're holding shift when you press the tilde key, the console should come up. Once it does, type sv_pure 0, then map (yourmapname) without the (). That should load your map. From then on, you can just load it from the load menu. If pressing shift+tilde doesn't bring up the console, check your config to make sure you haven't rebound the tilde key.
