how to turn on multiplayer cheats

I'm just learning how this game works, and found the double bladed cheat, as I type in /thedestroyer it comes up saying cheats are not enabled on this server. I am creating the server and just playing bots for now. am I doing something wrong ?

You will have to make your own server on multiplayer, then type in the console /devmap mapname and then holster your saber and type the cheat in. Every time you die you get a one blade saber so it gets annoying. Also there is some clipping trouble with it and some animation problems, it just looks cool when you stand there with it, nothing more.

You don't have to join a server or host your own server first. When you're at the beginning screen (with the two jk2 symbols [red and blue]) open your console there and type /devmap [mapname] (example: /devmap ffa_bespin)

Also another thing you should be aware of, is that you have to have your saber SHEATHED (1 normally to do this) and then type in

/THEDESTROYER at the console.

Cheats have to be enabled, and the easiest way to do this is:

Start the map you normally want to play, then at the console type in

\mapname

this will tell you the name of the map, eg FFA_Bespin

Then u type

\devmapall ffa_bespin (or whatever the map's name was)

Oh btw when you are issuing console commands, be wary of sometimes when u open the console (Well it does for me) it adds a space to the start of the command line which u must delete first off.
