Boba Fett...Elian Gonzalez?

WTF? I always imagined Boba to always be a menacing killing machine, not some little latino kid who didn't show the slightest sign of evil in himself...For those who don't know what I'm talking about, it's the portrayal of Boba as a child, maybe 6-7, in Episode II. It just doesn't remind you of him when you see him ya know?

Yeah, but Jango Fett really makes up for it in bad-a$$ness that equals or even surpases that of B.A. Baracs of the A-Team. After viewing the first trailer I thought: "Great a love story, and Amalidala problaly wont even get nekkid." After viewing the second trailer I am totally stoked. Plus I think it's nice seeing Bobba as a kid, it's like a "Get to know your Bounty Hunter" segment...

i agree, i pictured some silent but evil looking kid, one that would stare at you for no reason....that looks more american...not the latino kid.....but in all respect jango fett is latino looking so its kinda obvious his son would also.....if they got a new boba theyd need a new jango....

Did you expect him to come out of the womb with a freakin blaster in hand? lol Everyone was a kid at some point, and just because he looks like an innocent kid doesn't make him one, as I understand it he's already a bad little mofo...

Just a little correction. Both actors, Temuera Morrison(Jango) and Daniel Logan(Boba) are from New Zealand. So, they definitely are not Latinos, but Maoris instead. Just rent "Once Were Warriors" and you will get an idea, how good actor Temuera really is, because it's his best movie. ;)

according to some previews i've read, boba fett is actually a young clone of jango fett given to him by count dooku to raise as a son. boba becomes the evil s.o.b. his because he's mad about jango's (his "father's") death...

Just so you know, Boba Fett didn't die when he fell into the sarlac. Read this from starwars.com -

Fett's armor and body were extremely battered by his ordeal in the Sarlacc. When he plunged into the beast, he was kept alive by numerous fibrous suckers which attached themselves to his body. This was part of the Sarlacc's horrible metabolic process; it would keep its prey alive for thousands of years, all the while slowly feeding off it. Fett almost lost his identity in the swirling dementia brought about by the Sarlacc's toxins. His resolve held, and he used his weapons to blast free of the beast.

Naked, wounded, and defenseless on the sands of Tatooine, Fett was rescued by his fellow hunter Dengar, who nursed him back to health. Fett reclaimed his armor and his reputation, returning from the "dead," and again taking on bounties. It wasn't until six years after the Battle of Endor that Han Solo learned his nemesis was still alive.

Although Fett still piloted his antiquated Slave I, he updated his arsenal with the ultrasleek Slave II. These were but the first two of his vessels, which would eventually number up to Slave IV.

This is according to the expanded universe. The Star Wars novel "The Mandalorian Armor" tells the story of Boba's return, etc.

:fett: Boba Fett...Elian Gonzalez? :wavey:

Eh? Wasn't he the kid who was shiped back to Cuba?

:jango:Once Were Warriors is a cool movie. (It's on my list of the "Top 10 Best Movies That You Haven't Seen".) Temuera Morrison plays the massive, intimidating, aggressive father. If you've seen it, you'll know that he's is a good choice to play a bad-ass, intimidating bounty hunter.

Temuera Morrison .... Jango Fett

Daniel Logan ............ Boba Fett

These two people are both from NEW ZEALAND. Temuera is a Maori. I have not seen what Daniel looks like but if people are thinking he is latin or hispanic then he too is probably a Maori as well.

And for those who have no idea what Maoris are... Maoris are the first people to live on New Zealand and are Polynesian.

I almost suspect it of being a backlash of sorts from George Lucas for the reaction to Jar-Jar and Anakin in Episode I.

"What, you don't like anthromorphic frog-people and cute little kids? You'd rather see Boba Fett? See how much you like him now! :p"

But then, I'm paranoid.

FFS! I allways had the idea that mandalorians didn't look like humans! That fking does it, no more respect for them Fetts from my direction. Pfaf. I mean, when you've seen young Boba Fett, watching him in ESB and ROTJ just makes you laugh. (Not that I wouldn't laugh at Vader after seeing him as a kid)

No, no; a thousand times no. To yank a quote from LucasBooks' Chris Cerasi

right out of its context: "When it comes to absolute canon, the real story of

Star Wars, you must turn to the films themselves - and only the films."

So there. And Boba Fett's dead, too. :)

I have to agree with the SW Universe being limited to the films (when George Lucas start writing the non-tie-in novels I will read them).

IMHO Boba Fett is alive and well and waiting to do some funky future stuff but obviously I can't prove it - I will just go with what is in my heart :fett:
