The Nebula
I also had the annoying problem with the game freezing my computer or causing the whole system to crash, but I found the fix. I have the following system: AMD Athlon XP 1700, VIA KT 266A Mobo, 256MB DDR and a GeForce 3 Ti 200. I solved the problem by disabling AGP Fast-writes and AGP Side band addressing. I downloaded a program called NVMax to accomplish this. Thomas McGuire from 3Dspotlight had this to say about AGP Fast-writes:” …in reality most benchmarks done on this have shown it to be of little actual benefit, in some cases performing slower, not mention on other systems it causes stability problems.” Last night I played for 4.5 hours straight without any freezing or crashing. I hope this will solve many gamers frustration. Happy Gaming. The Nebula

The Nebula Hmm, this was actually a problem with older [as in teh athlon before the T-bird] via and AMD chipsets, I was unaware athlon XP chipsets still had this issue though.
