Vaeryft Posted April 27, 2002 Share Posted April 27, 2002 Kinda new to mapping and all but : Editing wise, how do you get a button to open a door in multiplayer via the use key in game? I got it to work fine in single player via a trigger_multiple with facing and use key..but with the same trigger in multi it doesnt work. If the use key just plain ~doesnt~ operate in multiplayer, could anyone give me a good set up for a proximity type switch that would work in multi? DigitalVapor Posted April 28, 2002 Share Posted April 28, 2002 I think the lack of a fully functional "use" feature in mp was a huge but oddly overlooked flaw in the game. BUT there is a feature to make a trigger_multiple field activate things only while pressing the "use" key inside of it. click on the check box for "Use_Button" in the entity window of your "trigger_multiple" entity. now when the player enters the trigger and presses use, it activates your target! the only problem was that there is no "use" animation in MP.
