Ryes
Well I purchased the game and attempted to install it but it locked up around 8%...checking the cd I noticed it was damaged so I returned it for another cd. When I try to click install from the autorun it loads the setup wizards then pops up with a message: "Do you want to completely remove the selected application and all it's components?" I have the option of "ok" and "cancel" neither will install the game so I'm suspecting that somewhere along the way the game thinks I have it installed still. I'm running Windows XP Home. This is what I tried: -Checked Add/remove programs to see if there was an entry there and there wasn't -Removed any lucasarts registry entries pertaining to JK2 -ran xp equivalent of scandisk -verified resources were good -did a search for *jedi*.* files and removed them all....most were just under user directories -created a new admin user in xp and tried to install there - same error After all of the above (many times) I'm still getting the same message and the friggen game won't install. I'm at my wit's end with this and Lucasarts has no weekend support. Anyone have any ideas why I can't install or what I have to do to convince the friggen game I don't have it currently installed anywhere on my system? Any and all help would be GREATLY appreciated... Ignodium
so you went into the registry, and under programs, deleted it? you have to do that and then delete all of the files. usually at least.
Ryes
Yeah I deleted the files before I touched the registry...but the good news is..I DL'd a nifty little program called add/remove 4good which found the file in windows add/remove even though I couldn't see it and cleared things up... JK2O just installed nicely and I'm looking forward to playing it finally... Thanks for the response though Ryes
Master Cloud
OR you just could have gone into my Computer and Explored the CD and clicked on the Setup File.
