dekerd Posted April 28, 2002 Posted April 28, 2002 This may seem like a really big question, but it is possible to skin with 3DS max, right? Someone give me something, anything you know about skinning with 3D max. I am willing to be patient and take the time to learn everything. I'm not looking for a quick fix, maybe just a few links to 3Dmax skinning tutorials or few tips or hints you may have to offer. Thanks in advance!
SEPtIc cHiLD Posted April 28, 2002 Posted April 28, 2002 ehh...you can make models with 3d max, if you wanna make skins all you need is a paint program.
dekerd Posted April 28, 2002 Author Posted April 28, 2002 Sorry dude, I'm new to the whole skinning process. I've heard that even Micrsoft paint works, with limited capabilities, but it works, is that true?
SEPtIc cHiLD Posted April 28, 2002 Posted April 28, 2002 yeah MS paint would work, your skin would probably look like crap, not alot of fancy options in MS paint, Photoshop6 is probably best. Paint Shop Pro would be fine if you ain't got Photoshop. 3dmax is for makin the actually player model, the body.
PerfectSky Posted April 28, 2002 Posted April 28, 2002 Aaaaaaah... good old MS-Paint... reminds me when I made my first skin for Quake 1 (it was accually a stormtrooper skin in bluescale and a yellow shoulderpad) ....That is good old memories...
