Master Rooster
I have seen several people bunny-hopping (doing continuous jumps to move faster) in Capture the Ysalamari. I am assuming this is cheating since only the carrier can do it. Whilst using speed to catch up works, it still strikes me as being a filthy cheat/exploit just because it gives an unfair advantage. What is the general opinion on this?
RedEye*r]CoU[*
Unfair advantage? What about the great disadvantage that the carrier can't use any force power?
Master Rooster
I think you're missing the point here. Bunny hopping is not a feature or use of the ysalamari, but an exploitation of the game. Anyway, in ffa, it is a bonus to pick it up, not a disadvantage. Remember, you are immune to enemy force powers as well. Also, the reason why CTY is better than CTF is that the carrier can't just use speed to get away really quickly. It negates the point if the carrier is able to move quickly as well as the people trying to use force speed to catch up.
Zodiac
the big "bunny hopping" (strafe jumping) post: http://www.lucasforums.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=40655 conclusion of that post, after 159 replies : some people think strafe jumping is part of the game. Some don't. (continuing in the original post would less pollute the board, thus improving the flow of posts )
