zeek2304
Whenever I try to use the modeling program G-Max it doesn't work. I try to draw a shape in the perspective viewport, in all the view ports, and it just stays a black background. What do I do?

FEXX
To setup the video drivers for gmax, go into Preferences and then Viewport Tab. Near the bottom right area of that panel there are the OpenGL settings. Try different settings till the viewports appear (one must restart gmax each time the video settings change) I found OpenGL did not work right after I got JK2Radiant in my 3ds max 4, and same w/ gmax. Anyhow, I cannot see a reason to use gmax 1.1 or tempest for map building (yet) because the brushes it exports to a .map file do not let you face select to texture (a single face of the brush). This is because tempest is not meant for JK2, from the tests I've run so far.
