GLASS not working

Make sure you place the glass shader and not the glass texture... It has to be the one with the white line around it (glass, glass_no_tess, glass_reflective).

 

Also if your glass is too thick, it can sometimes look odd... Try making the entire brush into the "nodraw" texture and then assigning only the front face to be the glass you want.
