Questions about skin editing AND Multi-players skins!

How do you get skins to work on multi-player mode? I can chose them in setup, but once I'm in a multi-player game, the skins are not there to choose from.

 

Also, how do you edit the Kyle Katarn skin so he looks different in the single player game version?

 

One last question on a whim and a prayer...Does anyone know where I can download an art program that can let me edit TGA files (the skin files)? Sadly I don't have one at the moment and are forced to have to use other peoples skins.

 

Also, is there a way to edit the skins without one of these powerful art programs?

hey,

i've only been on this board 2 days and i cant believe how many people ask how to use skins in MP. If u create your own server u can use these skins, if u join a game u prob cant as most games are pure servers (you can only use the same stuff as the server contains).

 

Dont know about SP skins sorry.

 

u can download The Gimp (love that name) which is a free imaging program to edit .tga files.

 

u can even use paint and edit the .jpg files.
