Chiles4 Posted April 29, 2002 Share Posted April 29, 2002 I don't see how a DVD-ROM drive would fail at loading a CD game. They're made to meet all the specs of a CD-ROM drive and more. I just bought a DVD-ROM drive, not to watch DVD movies but to be able to handle the copy protection on newer games. Actually, with the price of DVD-ROM drives these days (I got a brand new Lite-On for $42) you really shouldn't buy CD-ROM drives - you'll be buying older technology!!
