Lee_Wyndwalker
If I sound like an idiot, it's because I'm new to even attempting to do these type of things, so bear with me. Ok, I have all of my edited .jpg's inside my new folder as well as a copied model_default from the Jedi folder, which is where I got most of my .jpg's from. How do I get the .jpg's and the model_default to associate with each other. After I opened the assets0 all of my files appear as zip files. Is this a problem? I get everything edited to where I want them but I can't get the model .glm model files to show what I have edited. The tutorial doesn't really say anything but to put these files together, so, like Tom Hanks in "Big", I'll say, "I don't get it." Can someone help me out in this, either step me through it or just tell me what I'm doing wrong, I don't care, I just want my own skin dammot Any help is great help, thanks. Royal
what you got to do is open model_default.skin in notepad and edit the file pathes to use your new files then if the changed files are in the same dir as the original skin rename the model_default.skin, model_default_{yournamehere}.skin and for a red/blue skin model_red/blue_{yournamehere}.skin .hope that helps you. -Royal
Lee_Wyndwalker
OK, I used the basic Jedi so I edited all the directories to point to my files. What next? Do I zip it back up into a pk3 file, because right now it's a zip. I wish someone would post a walkthrough that made more sense.
Darkhold X
I was just having a similar problem, but soon as I changed the name of the skin file back to default from what I changed it to it worked right. Odd.
