cogenmaster
Hello all, I would like to get a feel for how my frame rates compare to other actual users out there. Please post your frame rates here and system specs. I get an average of 20-30 FPS in 3rd person mode using the light saber. 40-50 in first person mode running around with a gun. To track frame rates do the following : shift + ~ key to enter the consule then type cg_drawfps 1 and hit enter. My system specs as follows: Soyo Dragon Plus motherboard - AMD XP1700 - 512MB DDR2100 - Sound Blaster Live - Maxtor 30gig 7200 - Visiontek Geforce 3 Ti200 @200 memory 450 Core. - Detonator 28.32 drivers with 2X anti-alaising in manual. Current game settings - All detail and textures set at highest setting - Resolution at 1024x768. Thanks
wakeup360
I get 58.5 using teleguy's following timed demo method: Create a shortcut to jk2mp.exe and add +set sv_cheats 1 +set timedemo 1 +demo jk2ffa to the path. ( Mine looks like this "E:\Programme\LucasArts\Star Wars JK II Jedi Outcast\GameData\jk2mp.exe" +set sv_cheats 1 +set timedemo 1 +demo jk2ffa ) . To view the results activate the console and scroll up .

ZakTheEvil
Just to give you an idea. During the fight in the bar on NS I get constant 50-60fps. 1280x1024, 32bit, trilinear filtering, all options on hight quality with Quincux antialiasing on with realistic saber combat. I'd probably get more if it wasn't for WinXP 60Hz issue. Athlon 1800+, 512MB DDR, GF4Ti4400, WinXP Pro. Zak

DarkendNever
geforce 4 ..... lol I get 60-80 fps with everything all the way up Sys Specs Amd Athlon 1700 (1.5 gighz) Geforce 2 mx 400 256 mb pc133 ram ( yes plain jane ram) 28.32 nvidia drivers res set at 1024 x 768 ( due to monitor being 4 yrs old) Really if you are having problems with fps look at my specs and tell me that your mega machines shouldnt get alot more I dunno wuts the bets advice but I just recently upgraded my chip from a duron 900 and that was a big boost. Best advice for good framerates as far as im concerned is to make sure all the ram you can free up is done so and everything else turned off. Too bad they dont have an in-game priority switch (i.e., Dungeon Seige) Last but not least dont get too jealous of a geforce 4 my gf2 mx 400 costs all of 50 bucks and it runs 4x, with the same core speed as a gf3 without overclocking, the ram is old and slow on the gf2 but not a henderance of any kind, so i can even run D3D FSAA if i wish and not get hit too hard in performance as long as its 2x FSAA and not 4. If this gives you an idea of what framerates you should get on your machine im glad, if not o well chalk this one up to the unread post gods. peace and hair grease
FuzzyNads
Dont know if you noticed but your pc is faster than mine, hence the extra 10fps. Some people here are real strange, bashing a sys before reading specs is just plain careless.Plus your running a lower resolution too.Now the 70.5 is in the time demo, ingame i range from 80-90 fps while playing single player. j3i)1_/\/\4574
wtf? i have: Asus A7V266-E Athlon XP+ 1700 512mb DDR RAM Asus V8200 GeForce 3 Ti-200 Creative Audigy MP3+ Maxtor 40 Gb 7200 RPM hdd 1024*768 with all the eye candy turned on, FSAA application controlled. and I get 25-30 fps in game, with 23.22, 28.32, 29.20, and 27.42 drivers. (mind you, this is on the swamps level, which looks to be pretty graphics intensive).
Jazz
I usually get between 5-30 when playing in multiplayer, graphics are set on low as well lol. The res is 1028x768, even if i go lower it makes no difference. My specs : PII 450MHz, Matrox G400 max and 160MB SDRAM PC100. Playing on outside maps is usually very hard and when there are loads of people on my screeen my fps usually hangs around 5-

Post an URL for your 3DMark score and then I'll believe it! I get up to 60 with just about everything on with 1280x1024 res and average about 40 fps in the Garrison 27 map with 10 players including me...9 are bots. The Garrison 27 is one of the most resource intensive!
Dash
62.2 fps Max detail, 1280x1024. Quincunx Anti-Aliasing Level 8 Ansiotropy. 62.6 fps Max detail, 1280x1024 No Anti-Aliasing Level 1 (off) Ansiotropy. Which is really odd, as my refresh rate is 85Hz, so it isn't V-Sync which is cocking it up. And you would expect to see a drastic performance difference between the two above modes. No1zLegacy
I get between 85-100 fps at almost all times. On high graphic stress levels like the swamp I get dragged down to 55 though. I run 1024x768@32bits 85Hz refresh rate, with a Visiontek Xtasy GF3 ti200. Graphics are set to max, all options including anistropic filtering and dynamic lights are on. I use the Nvidia 23.11 WHQL certified drivers. Vsync is off and and nothings overclocked. Anti-aliasing is off as well. I run on a Windows XP Professional AMD AthlonXP 1700+ (1.47GHz) Iwill XP333-R motherboard 512 MB Crucial PC2100 DDR 60GB Western Digital HD Visiontek Xtasy gf3 ti200 SB Audigy Platinum sound card 16x10x40x CD-RW 50x generic CD-ROM With nothing overclocked yet I'm suprised I actually get such good FPS. I was expecting to have to update my ram to some OCZ PC3000 or 3200 DDR so that I can overclock my board and processor to better speeds. As it is supposed to be the only way it can compare in speed to a KT266A based board. Go figure. I do take more than exceptional care of my system though. cogenmaster
Hey No1zLegacy, We basically have the exact same machines. I was just watching my Son play the swamp level and the frames were in the twenties. I have my card overclocked too that really strange, oh well some things are not to be understood just accpeted. Enjoy PS I would not want to play my Son on multi, I just watched him mow through 4 dark jedi in the jedi academy like he was mowing hay.

Yes, I guess we do have very similar systems. I love the Soyo Dragon by the way. Well anyway, you said you use 2x anti-aliasing right? Since I don't use anti-aliasing that could account for a big portion of the frame rate difference....I should put mine into 2x anti-aliasing just to see what my frame rate is on the swamp level then. cogenmaster
No1zLegacy, Your right about the frame rates. I just recently switched from a Voodoo5 and I find games to ugly now without the AA. Really is a shame about 3DFX they made a really great product in the Voodoo5, card ran flawless for me the hole time I owned and their AA was simply the best, even better then the AA I currently have with NVIDIA.
