if the q3 models are in .md3 format then you should be able to use the md3viewer thats shipped with the SDK to convert to .glm

You need to remove the animations from the md3. If you have the original model in 3D Max, then export the whole thing without animations.

 

you could also import frames (from the md3) when the player is standing still.

 

I'll try with some models and see if it works...i think some problems might occur because the engines work in different ways.
