Getting rid of bizzare cleave marks in textures?

Okay,

I'm a newb when it comes to mapping and have actually made a level that i'm quite proud of... however I cannot seem to get rid of bizarre "cleave marks" as i call them when i cut a circle out of a rectangular brush... heres a screen so you can see what i'm talking about.

These marks seem to slow down the framerate and also make that area quite blury... if they went the whole way around the circle i wouldnt be quite so annoyed at them...

I've tried just selecting that edge of the brush and deleting it but cant seem to get at the edge like that (plus i think it may delete some of the outer edges of the circle as well)... any suggestions...

also for a pre-alpha download of this room (it's actually a piece to a much bigger level i'm working on) check out http://chronx.ravenclans.com/ChronXPreAlpha.zip it may give ya'll a better idea of what i'm talking about...

Thanks in advance,

OmegaRed

That's because those are all seperate brushes, and transparent. All the sides are being draw. Select the inside edges (that you don't want to see) and apply either 'system/nodraw' or 'system/caulk'.

That should do it.

And, you'll get better looking results if you use patch meshes instead of brushes for that ;)
