Are there any programs and tutorials that are good for making them? I want to make a Silver saber that would go with the Corran Horn model I downloaded, any help would be appreciated

It's really easy. Unzip assets0.pk3

 

go into assets0\gfx\effects\sabers

 

you see a lot of files. Pick a saber color and copy those files to somewhere else. You need the *_glow2.jpg and *_line.jpg

*=the saber color

 

Modify them however you want. Anything black is considured the void. When you're done, zip it into a .pk3 and put it in ur base directory. Then go into the game, and select whatever saber you just replaced. Note: you need to replace a saber in order for it to work.

 

There's a problem though. When you swing, you'll see half the saber back to normal. If your doing something weird, then you need to change the blurcore.jpg and blurglow.jpg too, but not normally.

 

If you just made a new color, you're up for a challenge. For some reason that glow from when you swing won't change colors. I'm still working on that myself.

silver would look pretty cool maybe you should release it with a brand new skin
