volrathxp Posted May 2, 2002 Posted May 2, 2002 oh yeah you can create em in photoshop but didja know photoshop's standard compression for jpgs crashes JKII? yep it's true. it does. if you create it in photoshop, resave it under like paint or photo editor and you can then use it. volrath
[Dom_Pmd] Posted May 2, 2002 Posted May 2, 2002 Heh... Which version of Adobe are you using? ...and what kind of optimization options are you using when saving?
Wired Posted May 2, 2002 Posted May 2, 2002 I don't think I could make a good texture even if mu life depended on it... granted I haven't had too try as of yet.
Cmdr. Antilles Posted May 2, 2002 Posted May 2, 2002 I use Photoshop 4.0, and the default JPG export setting seem to work fine with JK2. The only problem I ran into was that my image dimensions weren't powers of 2. (64x64, 256x256, 128x512, etc)
[Dom_Pmd] Posted May 2, 2002 Posted May 2, 2002 Yep, that's what I was thinking; these people are getting their dimensions messed up. Photoshop has nothing to do with it. What do you think Raven used for their textures! heh...
volrathxp Posted May 2, 2002 Posted May 2, 2002 tell that to the map that crashed on me. for reals. photoshop 6.0. standard jpg compression, medium. crashes it every time.
