Few questions

Hey ppl.

I've just created a multiplayer map, the actual building of the map is pretty much complete, I just need to get it to work. So I have a few questions

1) Worldspawn, is this essential in a multiplayer map and how do I activate it?

2) How do I convert the map into a bsp file, and does it need to be converted?

3) does this need packed into a pk3 file at all, and does other files such as tga and arena files need to be created?

I think that's everything but all help is greatly appreciated

:)

Answer 1) Worldspawn is an essential entity. It is created by default for you.

Anser 2) To BSP a map in radiant you go to the BSP menu and select one of the options there. The one you'd most likely select is BSP FullVis. FullVis parses all the lighting, so if you don't have any light entities your room would be extremely dark. If you choose BSP FullVis (nolight) it wouldn't parse the lights and you'd have all the light you'd want.

Answer 3) Use notepad to create your arena file. it's just a text file with the .arena extension. I believe i posted a small overview of it farther down. Yes it does need to be put into a pk3 file. Use winrar or winzip or pakscape (I use winrar personally but it's up to you). The levelshot should be like a 512x512 jpg i believe. anyways, hope i helped ya out a little.

ok, I've created a arena file a tga file and pk3'd it, however it's still not appearing in the jedi outcast game. Is there something I've missed maybe in the actual creating of the map, or something else?
