UniKorn
Appearantly, and probably with reason, some people assume me being an arrogant person because I always focus on people's errors rather than on the stuff that looks good. My apologies if that is so, but the reasons for it are stated in this thread: http://www.lucasforums.com/showthread.php?s=&postid=510452#post510452 So if I answer shortly, remember the explanation
Cmdr. Antilles
Too much to read... But you're not arrogant, man. You've got reasons to be, but you're not. You're a great mapper, part of a really cool mod team, and your GF is hot.

danrobjim
The way I see it, if people post something it's to get critism and find out how to make it better. If you ever do say something nice they know they've done a great job!

Vorax
Basically, the WLS team is a group of top deisgners (mapping, coding, skinning, modeling, texturing, etc...) from Quake 3 based games, also some up an commer mappers that have shown alot of talent and our group has agreed to invite to the team. We have all been hand picked. So even if you haven't seen any thing by a particular WLS mapper, rest assured, it will be good. The team as a whole tests and comments on each others work. Everything has to be approved by the group prior to release. Nothing could pass by that many excellent designers and still come out crappy. - Vorax
inlacrimas
Just kiddin' with you a bit Vorax, I'm sure UniKorn's map will rock It's just that I love when more experienced mappers helps the lesser experienced, WITHOUT sounding like oracles that's it, and no, I'm not flaming anyone
UniKorn
Well, the duel maps I made aren't not really that l33t, they are ok, but they are not extraordinary, not when you compare them to jester's work. Project Lead is taking more of my time than I imagined, but I hope to have this weekend to make at least 1 of the 3 duel maps a joy for the eye
Kumba
Yea Unikorn has really helped to keep this team together with me being busy with skool and work all the time. Nevertheless, in just under 3 weeks I will be going back full time to my duties of project lead taking some the stress off of Unikorn. Here's a round on me buddy. FunClown
All I can say is that I've made two threads on this forum and Unikorn is the only one who has ever responded to them. Not forgotten.
PurplWulf
well I can't say I've read every one of Unikorn's posts, but I've read quite a few, and I can only state from personal experience that he almost always offers some form of suggestion when he makes a critical statement. I know when the forums weren't as active, he posted some lengthy replies to people asking and questions, and for someone like me, whose never mapped for Q3, his answers shed more light on subjects than any of the tutorials I've found for mapping out there. his answers are precise and to the point, well thought out and well explained. And even on the occassions where his only comment was: "it's too dark" that in itself is a suggestion, the map is too dark, lighten it up so people can see. there's a big difference between arrogance and confidence, and I haven't seen him cross the line yet. I know I've never seen him post a reply like I've read from some others, replies like "OMG that sucks, don't ever make another map again" just my opinion, but I think people are getting cranky and tired of reading the same types of threads over and over again, so we tend to take things the wrong way after a while. I know that for myself, I used to read the threads and try and reply to anyone who wanted an answer that I could help them with, but after continually posting the same answers time and time again, now I just skim the threads and answer ones that haven't gotten any help on a subject I'm familiar with. I think alot of the problems on this forum could be fixed if they'd turn on the search engines and let people find solutions from prior threads, instead of rehashing the same problems over and over. just my 2 cents the purple one
