Pathos
There is an extensive guide for JO up at http://www.hurricanegaming.com I have a couple of friends who have worked for them, so this is probably a blatant plug, but the truth is that I get free copies of their guides and I really like to use them. This one is only like three bucks, and it gave me a lot of good ideas for saber-fighting (walkthrough was nice, but I had already beaten the game a few times, so . . .). Anyway, just letting people know what is out there. Check it out if you have the time. See you guys out there, especially after the patch is released. Kurgan
I spent 10 minutes glancing through a copy over at Software ETC (their copies of JK2 and the guide are tucked WAY in an out of the way corner of the store, nice job guys! doh) and I already found several errors. Like for example in their multiplayer section they make it sound like you can pull weapons to you that are lying around (confusiong with single player). Stuff like that. But, if I got a free copy, I'd use it to compare notes with my own (free) strategy guide over at http://strategy.jediknightii.net. I wouldn't steal from them of course, and would give credit where credit was due. Their "overheadview" maps of the MP levels are nice, however they are kind of hard to make out, with icons and arrows, but you can't see through roofs, etc.
Pathos
They sell HGI guides at the hurricanegaming website--the one you saw was probably the official guide (Prima did that one, I think, but I'm not sure). I haven't done any more than leaf through that one myself; it costs a heck of a lot more, and I never spend more than a few bucks on any strategy guide, if I pay at all. If you did see any Hurricanegaming stuff at Software ETC., let me know. I'm sure my buddies would be very interested in knowing that their stuff is being sold somewhere without their permission, lol. Like I said though, it's probably the official guide.
