jason-alaska
I can't get "Jedi Knight 2 Jedi Outcast" to work with my new Edimensional 3D Glasses. The game works fine without the glasses but if I hot-key enable the glasses in-game I only get a right image, the left image is just a white screen. Then it hangs my system and I have to restart. If I start the game with the glasses enabled it crashes right away. I've tried it with the 28.32 and the 23.11 Detonator drivers with the same effect. I uninstalled the 28.32 Detonator drivers and reinstalled the old 23.11 drivers and reinstalled the 23.11 stereo drivers. (Complete system specs follow in this email) I have two display adapters in a multi-monitor setup. I've even unloaded the secondary display and tried with out that monitor initialized. But it doesn't seem to mater. I know the second monitor has to be disabled to play some Open GL games so I just habitually turn it off. But I mean I even unloaded the drivers from my system so only my primary video card was found. I know the glasses work, I've run the stereo setup and the medical tests. They run okay in "Operation Flashpoint", but shooting at a target lined up in the cross hairs now misses. I refer to the in gamecrosshairs, not the "Nvidia Laser sight", I couldn't even get it to work. Things at a medium distance don't seem to have much depth but I'm learning you can adjust this. I have also found one building model (Gas Pump) that doesn't have 3-D depth at all, The glasses do work. And are amazing when they do. The glasses just don't work in "Jedi Knight 2 Jedi Outcast". Any suggestions? Thanks for any and all help, I love Jedi Knight 2 and I sure want to love these glasses! -Jason Martin- ---System specs follow:--- P4 1.7 Ghz 512 megs RDRAM ASUS P4 Motherboard ASUS Geforce3 64meg (Primary display) Detinator 23.11 Drivers installed Nvidia TNT2 32meg (Secondary display) Detinator 23.11 Drivers installed SoundBlaster Live! jason-alaska
PsiSilverthorn, I've read on many message boards Like the ones at www.stereovision.net , that people have the E Dimensional 3D Glasses and love them. People are saying that the games, "Operation Flashpoint" & "Jedi Knight 2" are the best games for the glasses. I can attest to Operation Flashpoint looking absolutly amazing in REAL 3D, tracers coming right out of the screen, trees with actual depth, judging range or altitute in flight by looking at the ground and actualy KNOWING how far that really is! But I can't get Jedi Knight 2 to work with them. Anyone with glasses have any suggestions? Thanks to anyone for the help!
PsiSilverthorn
No you missed my point...Your question was about getting them to work with THIS game. And from my experience (ASUS V7700 Deluxe with 3D glasses) and from other posts here, nobody can get 3D glasses to work with THIS game. They work for other games but not this one. Certain games will work better than others and some might not work at all depending on the 3d code. This happens to be one that doesn't work at all. PsiSilverthorn
And from the FAQ listed on the page you linked to the one of the reasons is that the current drivers do NOT support OpenGL. So maybe new drivers will work.
jason-alaska
I got a tip from Statman in Australia about my problems with Jedi Knight. He suggested I turn off the "GL Extensions" in Jedi Knight. That did it! It works great but I have to turn the resolution all the way down to 640x480 for the game to run smooth. BUT IT DOES WORK and the DEPTH IS AWESOME!
