Jedi_Monk Posted May 3, 2002 Posted May 3, 2002 The better question would be: why did the Star Wars novel and graphic novel come out before the movie?
Anox Kleevah Posted May 3, 2002 Posted May 3, 2002 So that the publishers can earn more money! Havent you yet realised that this is all about money?
DarkAgent Posted May 3, 2002 Posted May 3, 2002 Lucas is no dummy... he knows that 99 % of the hype of any StarWars movie happens before it has been released in the theater. So he gets the toys out while there is a tonne of hype and reaps the $$$. I know that after Phantom Menace was released the toy sales dropped big time (because a lot of people were disappointed with the film). Think about it Star Wars = Franchise = Cash Cow DA
