FEXX
Why can't I swap the entity of a selected brush from func_usable to a func_button? If I try to change an entity in JK2Radiant with a right-click and it always gives me a small "info" dialog pop-up with the message "Failed to create entity." I then try to change the classname to func_button in the Entity window, but it still highlights the previous func even if I change the classname. There is also a message in the bottom window "Entity NOT created, brushes not all from world." I have to delete the brush and make a new one. Why is the program doing this to me? Oz
I don't know why that doesn't work. But generally here are some things you should be able to do... In the Edit menu at the top, there should be an option called Ungroup Entity. If you have a brush entity selected, this will make it a normal brush once again. Then you can make it a different kind of entity. I also think you can select a brush entity, bring up the entity window, and manually type in a new classname where you enter key/value pairs. If you restart the editor and reload the map, the editor should treat the entity like the new classname. With point entities like NPC's and stuff, you often can directly change it with the right-click menu and it works out okay.
