i cant save my changes to the game ?

i cant save my changes such as my name or my video options. it always goes back to defaults and it is not the read only thing in properties cause i checked. please help. thnx

If you start your game from the laucher (where you select single player, multiplayer, etx) make your changes and then A L W A Y S start from the launcher your changes will be saved
