Including models in your map

the models have to be in your base folder in a folder called models then you use the misc_model entity in radiant to call the model you want. radiant defaults to using full paths so make sure you open the entity list and modify the path so it's relative to the base directory, instead of like d:/program files/etc....

 

make it

 

models/map_objects/ships/xwing.md3

 

or wherever your model happens to be. this way when you turn on viewing entities as skinned you can see the size of the model and work around it and it presents less problems when you release the map. :D hope i helped.
