standard dismemberment? tossing out an idea

might appease some people whining...not that that needs to be done.

 

if dismemberment were standard with the saber, it would have a two-pronged effect

 

clean hits in 1on1 duels could cause a sliced limb, which should produce catastrophic damage or immediate death. the increased blocking would make this not overly frequent in saber duels, but add a touch of lethality/coolness to them.

 

against weapon-using opponents, the saber would be a lot more effective because they simply couldn't block the saber attacks, and thus limbs would go a-flying.

 

seems like a reasonable idear...*shrugs*
