Belial6672
Hi I have heard a lot of people talking on these boards regarding the GTK editor instead of the JOEditor, apart from the ability to see the models properly in the editor is there any advantage to using GTK instead of JOradient..fired it up and looks basically the same to me.. B0rG
Yes, GTK can create terrain wheras JO doesn't have that ability plugged in. You can load terrain in JO, but fuxored if I know how to make alphamaps work properly (to texture it). I used GTK to start the map I'm working on, am using JK2ed to do the bulk of structural construction and texturing and will texture terrain and perform final compiles in GTK. Oh, and GTK lets you texture muliple brush faces at once, wheras JK2 ed does not

inferno81x
Well, GtkRadiant has CSG Merge. This basically means you can merge multiple brushes into one, so a) you don't get those annoying shadows where two brushes touch each other, and b) you don't have to spend time aligning textures. Belial6672
now that is helpfull as well, been using the GTK for a level i am constructing at the moment, found that selecting multiple faces is so much easier than with JOradient....not to mention the models load in properly.. belial
