Guest Dark_JVS
I gotta admit that the new screens look much better than the old ones. The lightning simply is amazing. The characters and droids look really nice. I would like to know what the critics say now about the graphics of the game. The shots of the cutscenes look impressive too. Gamespot has also posted a 1st person view screenshot, looks similar to JK. So, what do you think? JVS ------------------ The truth is in there! Guest Conor
I think it looks much better than it did before. The scoop in PC Gamer made it sound very good too. ------------------ "Preach the Gospel. Guest Vagabond
Except for the part where they made it sound like Theif, and the part where they made it sound like there would only be mouse controller support. ------------------ VagabondNomad on the Zone... Guest Conor
Neither of which I mind... But I can see where you would get uptight about the mouse controller. Do you think you could pull off 40 motion-based moves with the joystick? ------------------ "Preach the Gospel. Guest Vagabond
Probably. Let's analyze the situation. There are probably only 10 moves in reality (got to be cautious about those wiley marketing types you know), and here's how they are probably broken down: 10 - Primary attack 10 - Secondary attack 10 - Primary defense 10 - Secondary defense Now the ten moves themselves probably match the numeric keypad, marked 1 through 9. The tenth move is probably something like Block Blaster Fire, or Redirect Blaster Fire if you're attacking rather than defending. So you could do all the primary attack swings just by pressing the buttons on the numpad. The secondary attack swings by holding down the secondary attack button and then pressing the appropriate numpad buttons. The primary defense swings by holding down the primary defense button and then pressing the appropriate numpad buttons. The secondary defense swings by holding down the secondary defense button and then pressing the appropriate numpad buttons. If this were the case, it would be fairly easy for me to program the swings into my programmable throttle and joystick. I have 40 buttons and switches available to me, but I'd only need a total of 13 to accomplish all these swings. 10 for the actual swings themselves, and 3 for modifier keys to accomplish the other three swing modes. Piece of cake. But if forced to use the mouse, it'd be a piece of crap, for me. ------------------ VagabondNomad on the Zone... All the world's a stage, and all the men and women merely players... toms
is anyone else worried about the silly looking lightsaber swing? it looks like a fan. (even worse, it looks like the cartoon swing from the episode 1 game) i hope that they keep the auto-blocking in from jk. otherwise you just end up running around swinging (pressing the deflect button) in the hope of deflecting something. Qui Kenobi
Where are these new screenshots at? I would very much like to see them. ------------------ "Well, you were right about one thing, Master. Guest LDB_Leeman
let the whole .gif download and watch the sabers, Obi-Wan's in particular. See? Fan-shapes. ------------------ www.thereckoning.co.uk - My Personal Starcruiser.
early24
Yeah, I see them too (in the movie), but they look way exaggerated in the screenshots, and quite cartoonish. I agree that they had better keep the auto-blocking as in JK- the crappy, slapstick "swing and miss" scheme from EP1 would be just absolutely unacceptable. Guest Dark_JVS
Well, u have just seen screenshots of the sabermove. Maybe it looks better if u see a whole animation! Know what I mean? I like the 1st person screenshot. The environment and the Tusken look great. It seems to be similar to JK's 1st person. JVS
