extending wall walks (how do i?)

Ok,

I have the basic wall walk down, the only problem is I go for a short distance then automatically step off the wall. Is there a way to go a long way without falling/stepping off?

Second question, how do people wall walk way up to the top of some of these maps?

This is a good description from ArtifeX's guide: "Wall-walking - (Gotta have level 2 jump) run along side a wall while strafing in its direction and hit and hold the jump key. You'll run up the wall. Release and hit jump again quickly to flip off the wall. Simply release to fall to the ground.

 

A neat trick is to wall-walk along irregular surfaces. This will give you an extra boost up every time you hit another polygon surface. You can almost hit the sky box in duel_jedi outside near the stream doing this. Make sure you hold down jump all the way through the walk if you try this."

so there's no way to keep from automatically falling off the wall after going a short distance ?
