stupid question: how do you host a non dedicated internet server?

Everytime I try it sets up a network game, and for the life of me I can't figure out how to host an internet game on my comp. Anybody?

Simply log on to the internet, then fire up the game and create a normal server, make sure to give your IP address to any specific person you want to play against.
