Jasco Smlee
Is the correct command g_saberlock 1 or g_saberlocking 1 to enable saber locking in ffa? I remember using one (that was listed in the original dedicated server download), but then being told it was the other. I currently have both settings in my .cfg file and would like to remove the redundant entry.

Drepanon
I have found that the easiest way to get started with your server.cfg file or whatever you name it, is to open the jk2mpconfig.cfg with WordPad and see what commands are available. The second half of the file contains server related settings. Simply copy the ones you want into your server.cfg. Another trick is to use the default MP Graphical setup screen to configure a server to your liking. The jk2mpconfig.cfg file will be automatically generated. Copy the settings from the jk2mpconfig.cfg file into your server.cfg file. If you are uncertain wich setting controls something try putting in a pecular value like 77 or 33. When you look at the generated jk2mpconfig.cfg file you will then be able to quickly identify the variable the you are looking for. Once you have the server.cfg working you can launch the game in console mode by adding the +set ui_console to the end of the game Target Path located in the shortcut used to launch the game. This will bypass the graphical screens altogether. My entire Target Path looks like this: "C:\Program Files\LucasArts\Star Wars JK II Jedi Outcast\GameData\jk2mp.exe" +set dedicated 2 +set ui_console 1 +set g_gametype 0 +map ffa_bespin +set sv_maxclients 20 +exec server.cfg I have to run the game in console mode because the remote administration software i use to connect to the server does not support the graphical modes in the default setup screen.
